GENERAL HINTS, TRICKS AND TIPS
Jump Shooting vs Grounded Shooting hints and tips
I've seen MANY players jumping and shooting (they always have, but even more lately) and it's a good strategy...sometimes. Jump shooting is a good way to significantly decrease your chances of being shot at, but it's a two way street as it also decreases your chances of hitting your opponent (for the average player). If you have a steady hand and awsome hand-eye coordination and can pull off accurate shots while jumping I salute you! However, mere mortals such as myself can't pull it off  . Grounded shooting will increase accuracy, but you'll also be easier to hit.
So as a recap:
Jump Shooting = + Chance to Dodge, - Chance to Hit Target
Grounded Shooting = - Chance to Dodge, + Chance to Hit Target
The Key is Knowing When to Switch styles!

Your Arsenal hints and tips
Sure we all have our favorite weapon, but in my experience you only absolutly NEED two kinds.
First, you need a long range weapon a.k.a a sniper. Second, you need a short range weapon a.k.a shotgun/machine gun.
Anything else is icing on the cake. I personally avoid the "named" weapons and stick to the standard (cheap) ones although it's all based on preference.

Armor hints and tips
I tend to wear whatever makes my character look the coolest, but really isn't all that practical. In truth armor is incredibly useful. For example, nothing is more annoying than blowing a hole in some guy's chest with a sniper only to have him waste you after you took the shot. My reccommendation is save your points income for armor and buy the cheapy weapons.

The Art of Sniping hints and tips
I used to absolutly suck a sniping, until I took it upon myself to practice it way back when. For awhile there I was able to wrack up a huge kill count per battle, although today I'm struggling to regain that ability.
My point is that, if allowed, sniping can become the backbone of your arsenal. So here are a few quick sniping tips:
- Unless your target is standing still, don't get obsessive about headshots. It's better to be patient and take two - three shots because in the end it's slightly more reliable. (Unless you're a practiced headshooter of course)
- Move, move and move some more. After you make a kill shot, get the heck outta there unless you can IMMEDIATLY kill another target. Another good time to abandon your vantage point is when you have been spotted by two or more enmies/you've lost visual of an enemy and there's a chance he's coming for you.
I know sometimes you worked hard to secure that point, but again, be patient. There will be other chances to get a few kills.
- There isn't anything quite as nerve wracking as a sniper duel. You have him in your scope and you know he has you in his. My reccommendation is this: walk away from it. Either he'll come for you and you'll short range him down or he'll get distracted by something else allowing you to take the shot. Most of the time a sniper duel has a 50% chance of your victory. Plus you don't know what's sneeking up on you while peering through a scope. With the odds in mind I usually prefer to bail and live to fight another day.
- This concept may be a bit advanced to put in a newbie guide, but what the heck, right? So close up sniping can be a real asset (IF YOU PRACTICE IT). I know I've recieved messages in games complaining that snipers are "long range weapons" and it's true, although nothing is sweeter than knocking a Jump Shooter out of the air point blank with a sniper. So how? First, NEVER EVER use your scope close up. Second, note that snipers will always shoot to roughly the center of the screen when their scope is not up, although this varies with certain snipers (Dark Vanq seems to shoot slightly closer to the left side of the screen for example). Next, be patient if your using this on a jump shooter, your load time is greater so make your shots count. Lastly, NO jump shooting, your chance of hitting is already low enough. Note that this takes some luck to pull off as well, although with practice you can make it a skill for your bag of tricks. I'd say my sucess rate is roughly 66%-70%
, although this is the first thing I've really worked on getting better at since I got back.

Power Ups and Map Manipulation hints and tips
Never be afraid to go out of your way to grab power ups, they will help you survive. Also note that I don't mean, if you're low on health grab them, I mean if they are THERE grab them. An unused power up is a wasted power up. These will help you go toe-to-toe with players that spend alot of credits on their gear or are just more skilled than you currently (I use them A LOT because A LOT of people are more skilled than me haha). Just be careful not to walk right into some sniper's scope while grabbing them!
Also use the map to your advantage. Terrain is there to act as cover, don't go on a stupid kamikaze run while you can use the cover. Also snipers can use cover VERY effectivly when trained to recognize when they can see the enmy, while not letting the enemy get a bead on you. Finally, be aware of where your friends/team are at. While I firmly believe that you should really only rely on yourself, team awarness allows you to choose which zones are safest to grab power ups or set up a sniping point. Also note that is equally important that you have a decent idea of where the enemy is at because an enemy you see is, more often than not, a dead enemy.
