STYLES:
TETRIS, T-SPIN AND COMBOS HINTS, TRICKS AND TIPS
The following hints, tricks and playing tips are for advanced players
and cover Tetris, T-Spin and Combos on Tetris Battle.
The
Tetris Style hints and tips: The Solid line system in Tetris rewards
clearing more than one line at a time. Clearing three lines is worth
more than clearing two. So clearing four lines at a time, known as
getting a Tetris, is worth a tremendous amount of Solid lines, and is
one of the most important strategic concepts to know. Leave a
one-square-wide gap on the side of the Matrix to prepare for a Tetris.
Build up Tetriminos on the opposite side of the gap to avoid blocking
the gap. Don’t drop the I-Tetrimino into the gap until you have at
least four complete lines built up in your stack.
The T-Spin Style
hints and tips: To perform a T-Spin, you must first create a
T-Tetrimino-shaped hole in the Matrix (called a T-Slot) with one extra
block hanging over one side of it. As the T-Tetrimino falls, turn it so
that it is upright and so the cross of the T faces away from the
overhanging block above the T-Slot. As the Tetrimino comes to rest
inside the T-Slot, turn it toward the open space under the block.
The
Combo Style hints and tips: You can send a barrage of Solid Lines with
Combos by performing simple line clears with every consecutive
Tetrimino that falls. For every Tetrimino that drops that creates a
Line Clear, you’ll send additional bonus Solid Lines.
It’s
best to set up a Combo a couple rows from one side, such as with the
third and fourth or seventh and eight columns. Stack Tetriminos neatly
to each side as high as you can. When you can’t go any higher, start
dropping Tetriminos into the gap. Because every Tetrimino is at least
two squares wide except for the I-Tetrimino, you’ll clear a line with
every drop. Don’t worry about packing in the Tetriminos into the
gap-open spaces are just opportunities for longer combo chains.

BATTLE
2P, BATTLE 6P and SPRINTS 4P HINTS, TRICKS AND TIPS
The following hints, tricks and playing tips are for Battle 2P, Battle
6P and Sprint 4P on the Facebook game Tetris Battle.
Battle
2P Hints, Trick and Playing Tips to Win: Focus on sending as much Solid
Lines as possible. You can only send Solid Lines if you clear 2 or more
lines at once, or by Combos.
Let the game come to you: if you see
opportunities for Tetrises, do them; if you see chances to pull off
T-Spins, do them. Don’t get trapped into one style.
Perform Combos
with caution: they can be devastating to your opponent, but setting
them up can fill up your Matrix and leave you vulnerable to a swift
attack.
Clearing lines quickly is always a good defense. If you find
yourself against the ropes, clear lines as quickly as possible--you may
even luck into a few Combos while you’re at it.
Get a head start with Maps in Battle 2P. You can choose to start the
game with prearranged blocks to mix up the action.

Battle
6P Hints, Trick and Playing Tips to Win

Target
your Opponents, Hints, Trick and Playing Tips to Win: You can focus all
your Solid Lines to be sent to one individual as a moving target will
move randomly from opponent to the next. The one who sends the most
lines that force an opponent to knock out will earn the KO point.
For
example if you notice one of your opponents has filled their Matrix
really close to top and you are about to do a Tetris, wait for the
target to land on the challenger and then do the Tetris. This will send
the opponent to being knocked out, and you earning a KO point to
victory.

Sprint
4P Hints, Trick and Playing Tips to Win:
Tetrises are the name of the game in Sprint 4P; knock down 10 of them
in a hurry and walk away a winner.
Line
up Tetrises as quickly as possible, particularly via Hard Drops.
There’s no use in waiting for double Tetrises or other special combos,
as points are not a factor.
Time is of the essence, so the fewer
times you spin a Tetrimino, the faster you’ll go. That means being able
to spin them both clockwise and counter-clockwise proficiently.
If
you have only one or two lines remaining, don’t continue blindly to try
to get a Tetris. Clear the last few lines by whatever means possible,
including Hard Dropping until the right Tetrimino falls.

More Tips for the game:
Read on... Second player mode: The second-player mode is arguably the
most fun mode of play, as it's simply 2 players trying to knock each
other out of the game. There are a few keys to the game. The
main
key is speed. You want to try and use the space-bar "instant drop" as
often as possible, at least when you know where your brick is going.
The faster you are, the more lines you will have the potential to knock
out. The second key is combination lines. A single line won't count for
anything it's part of a line combo, in which case a 2 line combo counts
for 1 line of brick in the opposing player's screen, a 3-line combo
counts for 2, and a 4-liner counts for 4 lines. When you string
together combinations of cleared lines, they will count for even more
lines of brick, which can very quickly flood your opponent's screen. In
this mode, you should completely ignore single-liners, because for the
most part, they are worthless. You should try for 4-liners as often as
possible, because they will very rapidly flood your opposition's
screen, rack up your cleared-lines total, and guarantee you an easy
win. 4-player sprint and in the Old Navy Challenge: In the four player
sprint and in the Old Navy Challenge, speed is key. It doesn't matter
whether you knock off one line or 4 lines at a time, because if you
knock off lines faster than the other guy, you will win. In this case,
you should place your piece and hit the space bar as quickly as you can
to speed the game along. 6-player mode: In the six-player mode, each
individual line counts (whether for 1 or 4), but whether or not you
sned any blocks into any of the other players' sides is similar to the
two player mode; if you only knock off one line, you won't send any
brick blocks into the other players' screens, but if you knock off
combos of 2 or more, or if you string together chains of lines, you
will send bricks into their screens and make it possible to knock them
out. Taking advantage: In order to clear off extra lines, take
advantage of bricks that your opponent sends your way. Drop a piece
right onto the glowing nuclear "bomb" brick, and you will clear out
that whole line, and it will count the same as a line, and if you have
a stack of 2 or more nuclear "bomb" bricks on top of each other, you
can drop a piece right on the top one, and it will knock out both of
the lines. Theoretically, it's possible to knock out 5 or even 6 lines
at a time. Hope these tips help and good luck.

How
to turn off bombs: To
access the Bombs control in Battle 2P or Battle 6P, at the main menu,
click on the wrench icon next to the "Play Now!" button. In the Bombs
section, click on "On" or "Off" to toggle it on or off in the game. Or
you could just press "Esc." to turn off bombs.
Change
mode to up your rank: When
you are stuck at a rank, play a different game mode. Each game mode
focuses on a particular Tetris skill. Sprint: Sharpens your speed and
making Tetrises. Battle 6P: Sharpens your reaction from line attacks.
Battle 2P: Combination of speed and reaction.
Personal
limit: There
are 50 ranks in Tetris Battle, and everyone has limits on how far they
can get to without changing their style. In order to beat your personal
limit, you will need to focus on speed and send as much lines with the
least amount of moves. The tips and tricks section is a great place to
start, but you will need to apply with speed and grace. I recommend
playing a few games of Sprint 4P for speed, and Battle 6P for timing.
In Tetris Battle, the more lines you clear at once, the higher the
chance of winning a game. Clearing 3 to 4 lines at once will send a
good amount of lines. Consecutively clearing lines, or clearing in a
chain of combos is very rewarding.

STRATEGY:
STRATEGIES FOR RANKING UP FASTER
Here
are a few strategies to advance up the ranks on Tetris Battle... The
big key is the KO's matter most, lines sent is secondary. Like, I have
KO'ed an opponent 2 times and may only send 40 lines, but my opponent
may send 55 lines but only KO me 1 time. There are different styles of
players and there are good counter strategies to most styles. Of
course, blazing speed helps a lot. If you have read the Tips and
Tricks, you know the basics, BUT there is a higher level of strategy
they do not talk about. If you want to know, I can give you some
examples. I'll start with the "mega stackers" as I like to call them.
They are the players that like to only go for multiple Tetris. I think
you referred to them first. And some are super crazy fast. But I have
learned how to beat them easily. My strategy, I will clear 2-3 lines at
a time, at first, and keep my lines down. And when I send them a lot of
1 line bombs, it pushes up their stack, and they eventually get KO'ed.
Big tip, a bunch of 1 line bombs in a row are harder to clear than the
2 line bombs. As the "mega stackers" Tetris and send 4 to 6 lines to
me, I will hit their 2 line bombs, and send lines back to them. Since
all they send are 2 line bombs, it is easy to clear a lot of bombs, and
the plus is I send many lines back. Do it right, you can pull off many
combos that send even more lines and KO them very easily.

BEGINNERS GAME GUIDE: HINTS,
TRICKS AND PLAYING TIPS
Overview:
Tetris Battle's a popular competition version of the classic puzzle
game. It takes all of the essential gameplay elements of the classic
puzzle game - remember the Game Boy smash hit from the late 1980s? -
and it adds in multi player modes and social elements that you have
come to expect on the Facebook (FB) gaming platform.
To keep you interested and coming back for more there are multiple
modes of gameplay in the game.
The
two player battle, which is the "main play mode", where you battle to
see who can knock off more lines, throw more blocks into each other's
screens, and knock each other out of the game.
The 4 player sprint, which is fairly self-descriptive, as 4 players
race to 40 lines cleared.
The
6 player battle, which is basically a 6-player version of the two
player mode, where six players battle for supremacy, trying to knock
each other out and trying to clear the most overall lines.
The
fourth and final play mode is the Old Navy Challenge, which is a
single-player time attack mode to see how quickly you can knock out 40
lines.
The second-player mode is arguably the most fun mode of play,
as it's simply 2 players trying to knock each other out of the game.
There are a few keys to the game.
The main key is SPEED. You want to

4-liner counts for 4 lines. When you string together combinations of
cleared lines, they will count for even more lines of brick, which can
very quickly flood your opponent's screen.
In this mode, you should
completely ignore single-liners, because for the most part, they are
worthless. You should try for 4-liners as often as possible, because
they will very rapidly flood your opposition's screen, rack up your
cleared-lines total, and guarantee you an easy win.
