Galaxy: General Hints, Tricks and Playing Tips
Starting
out: As you start out the game, it will be tempting to simply go out
and start capturing mogas in order to build up your team quickly.
There's no need to rush into that, though - keep using your main Moga
until you get into more difficult areas, where you are facing level 3-6
Mogas, and then start catching mogas. If you start catching level 1
mogas, you are going to need to do quite a bit of grinding (leveling up
by repetitive battling) to stay competitive. Saving your star seeds
until you fight higher-leveled monsters can save you MAJOR time.
Levelling
up: To level up a lower-leveled moga against higher-leveled opponents,
fight higher-leveled opponents when your zodiac is "3X Super" effective
against a particular opposing moga. This means that your zodiac attack
will be VERY powerful against this particular type, enough so that your
lower-leveled moga will be able to defeat much higher-leveled moga.
Moga that are "2x more" effective are the second best to use against
other moga. Avoid using moga that are less effective against other moga.
Harvesting
from your whistle tree: ALWAYS be sure to harvest from your whistle
tree on time, or your tree will wither and you will lose that
particular whistle crop. Be sure to check your friends' whistle trees
too in order to harvest more whistles and have far more bonus attacks
to use.
Catch a high number of Moga: Don't even be afraid to catch
multiples of the same zodiac if catching them would result in an easier
time battling and a stronger party (for example, by building up
high-level moga at a rapid pace). The more Moga you have, the more you
can keep fighting and soldiering on, even if your party loses.
Throwing
Star seeds: Don't start throwing star seeds right away, though. First,
you have to weaken the enemy moga in order to make it easier to
capture. Weaken it as much as possible before you start throwing star
seeds, because you have a limited number of star seeds and don't want
to waste them on failing to catch a moga.
Catching Zodiac Types:
Catch a number of different zodiacs (types) of moga. Each zodiac is
associated with a certain "type", like in Pokemon (fire, ice, bird,
etc), and certain zodiacs are more effective against certain others.
Make sure that your active party ALWAYS has three different zodiacs
represented by your moga, so that you can be effective against as many
different types of zodiacs as possible.

Moga Tamer’s Tools: If you want to become the best Moga Tamer in the
world, you have to know the tools and resources in order to
successfully do missions and win battles.
World Map Icon: This icon
will move your mogas to a map and go through different locations to

add to your team.
The MogaDex Icon: The 2nd icon is where you choose
the team that will travel and battle other monsters. You'll see the

There are 4 resources that you can use in the game. Whistles are used

Galaxy: Choosing your Moga Battle Team Hints Tips
The
MogaDex will serve as a guide for you to choose the best team when
going out to battle. At the left side, you’ll see all the zodiacs and
the list of monsters for each sign. Black squares mean that you haven’t
captured them yet. Those that have pictures are monsters that you’ve
already tamed.
Looking at the MogaDex image screenshot above, there
are mogas that are highlighted in blue and some have yellow boxes.
Those that are in blue are mogas that have been selected to battle and
travel the world. A bigger image is shown at the bottom. Those in
yellow are your back up mogas and just waiting to be selected.
To
choose your battle team, all you need is to click on the moga’s image
and drag it to an empty slot. If you would like to remove a moga, just
click on the “x” at the upper right corner. As of this writing, you can
only choose up to 3 mogas in your travels.
Before you select a moga,
click on its image and you’ll see their overall statistics. This will
help you choose the best team, depending on what location you intend to
go and the level of difficulty of your opponent.
Looking at the
example below, Kaligari is at level 3 with 10 health points (HP), level
of attack, defense and speed is 7, and experience points is at 145 out
of 231 on that level. The number of attacks that is available is also
indicated, say, the punch can be used 12 times in the next battle, the
solar flare 4 times and the zodiac armor is full at 5.

There are two special attacks that you can use against your opponent.
The Bonus and Zodiac attack.
The
Zodiac attack can be beneficial to your success or not. This attack’s
effectivity is dependent on who your opponent is and what sign the
monster is battling. To guide you, hover the mouse over each moga
before choosing one to start the fight. In the example below, it is
good to use this attack because it is more effective.
The damage
points will be seen and how accurate the attack is going to be.
Sometimes it can be twice or 3 times effective, which is best to use
when your opponent is at a higher level or have more health points (HP).
The
Bonus attack is always beneficial because it calls a friend to help you
fight. The only thing you need is a Whistler. Take note that this gives
you only 1 chance to hit your opponent every time you use it. It is
recommended that you stock up a lot of Whistlers and use it only when
necessary.

When
you travel, battle and capture mogas, you will encounter some that are
considered as beginners but some are more dangerous than the next. It’s
important that you constantly upgrade your team of mogas to prepare
them for higher level opponents.
The only way to earn more experience points is to have them go into
battle. The more fights they win, the faster they level up.
At
earlier levels, you should use your trainees or those at level 1 or 2
to battle easy destinations. This will increase your success rate and
you’ll earn more experience points. Repeat some destinations to do so.
Playing
Tip: To increase your chances to win a battle with a higher level moga,
have enough blue coffee so that you can recharge during a battle.

Galaxy: Using a Star Seed to Capture Mogas Hints Tips
To
build your team, you need to capture mogas along the way. Easy and
medium destinations will give you level 1-4 mogas. Hard destinations
will present you with monsters who are at level 5 and above.
When
you battle an opponent for the first time, its good to win against them
first before capturing. This will give you a sense of their powers and
attacks. When you travel to a destination again, you are likely to see
the same moga.
You need to use a Star Seed to capture mogas. If you
have one, then the first thing you need to do is stay alive and lower
their health points to its minimum level without defeating them. You
will notice that the Capture option will appear. Once you click on this
icon, it will tell you the capture success rate. Agree to capture if
your success rate is high.
Take note that rare mogas such as the
Lainedeer are hard to capture. This just means that not all mogas can
be captured with one try. Some also have a very lower success rate but
this will be enough to capture it. Stock up with more Star Seeds so you
can try again the next time you meet the rare moga.

Galaxy: Finding more star seeds, blue coffee and whistles Tips
Moga are caught using star seeds (similar to the pokeball in the
Pokemon games).
Blue coffee helps to recover the energy of a Moga that has had its hit
points drained in a fight.
Whistles
help you to use special attacks in which you summon other Moga, which
unleashes a powerful attack against whoever you're fighting.
We
always want more of one or the other. So how do you go about getting
more of each of these items? Sometimes it seems tough to find them, but
keep reading for help on finding them...
Whistles are the easiest of
the items to find. Of course, you simply harvest them from your whistle
tree. Even if you wait too long to harvest your whistle from your
whistle tree, you can simply water it and your whistle will immediately
be ready to harvest from the tree.
So how do you get more whistles
more quickly? Have more friends who play Monster Galaxy and make them
your neighbors. You can harvest their whistle trees too. If you have 15
active friends, and you harvest whistles off of all of their trees,
that's a free 15 whistles a day.
Star Seeds are a little bit tougher to come upon than whistles. There
are two ways to get more star seeds.
The
first way is to randomly win them in battle. Every so often, when you
fight against a wild Moga, they will drop a star seed when you beat
them, so if you fight enough random battles, you will find more and
more star seeds. The higher level the Moga that you fight, the more
star seeds they seem to drop.
The second way to do this is to
complete quests. Explore as many areas as you absolutely can to find
more and more quests. As you advance deeper and deeper into the game,
you find more and more quests to complete, and each one will give you
at least 1 or 2 Star Seeds once you complete it. So complete more
quests, earn more star seeds.
And while you're at it, for a stronger
team, use your star seeds wisely by catching Moga that are strong, but
easy to catch. Ease of catching Moga depends entirely upon the rarity
of the Moga (when you try to throw a star seed, the game will tell you
how rare the Moga is and your chances of catching it). It has nothing
to do with the level of the Moga - just weaken it to as few hit points
as possible and you will have a high chance of capturing it.
Blue
coffee is even more rare, but luckily you start the game off with quite
a bit of blue coffee. Find more blue coffee the same way you find more
star seeds- complete various quests. Not all of them will win you more
blue coffee, but some will.
Conserve your blue coffee too by not
using it when it's not necessary. It's just as easy to simply put your
tired Moga down for naps, and it's free.

Galaxy: Leveling / Experience Hints, Tricks, and Playing Tips
When
you use more than one Moga in one battle to fight against a Moga, the
experience points earned for that battle will be split between all of
the participating Moga that have experience points left. Use this
strategy for leveling up against stronger Moga by starting a battle
with strong Moga, then send in the weaker Moga when the opposing Moga
only has a few hit points left. Then, use an attack from the weaker
Moga to finish off the opposing Moga. You can do this the other way
around, too, sending in a weak Moga for just one attack, pulling it out
of the battle, and then sending in a stronger Moga to finish them off.
You
can even do this with three Moga, if you feel confident enough to do
so. Doing this while fighting against high-level Moga, but just high
enough not to be able to instantly kill your weak Moga in one shot.
Repeat the same order of operations as above with both of your weak
Moga, then send your strong Moga in in order to finish the job.
If
you want ALL of the experience points to go to your weak Moga, start
the battle with your strong Moga and attack the opposing Moga until you
take away almost all of their hit points. Then, use your lower-left
attack (usually, it will be one that drops the enemy's defense or
increases your own, or inflicts a status ailment) over and over, and
let the opposing Moga kill your strong Moga. Then, send in your weak
moga and finish the job. All of the experience points will go to your
weak Moga, the one that you finished the job with. This is an excellent
strategy for a quick, easy level-up for a weak Moga (or for that
matter, even for a strong Moga if you are tag-teaming strong Moga
against a REALLY strong Moga)
Instant recovery for your fallen Moga:
When your whole party of 3 Moga is beaten, the "Battle Knockout" screen
will come up, and then the world map will load and the airship will
take you back to your home. Right when this world map pops up, close
out of your browser window. Wait for about 10-15 seconds, and then
reopen Monster Galaxy. When you come back, 1 to 3 of your last-used
Moga will be automatically recovered in full, without any waiting time.

Four:

they get bonus attack.

Galaxy: Catching Super Rare Mogas Easily Hints Tips
Catching super rare mogas can be a pretty laborious task. Just finding
one is a mamouth task in itself.
If you come across any of the super rare moga, chances are, when you
try to catch them they will escape.
To be frank, this is going to p**s you off to the point of wanting to
put your foot through your screen.
Here's a working strategy guide / hints and tips to help you easily
catch super rare mogas.
One: Make sure that you are playing 2X to 3X less mogas against them.
Two:
When you attack use your bonus mogas until they’re health is at 15-30
of their full health. At below 10, your chances of catching the moga
will significantly increase.
Three: If your bonus attacks did not
register a critical hit, use your own moga to attack. Get their health
at around 5 or even lesser.
Four: Make sure that your moga is at least 2 levels down or 2 levels up
than the moga you’re fighting.
Five: Once your target moga is weakening, use the star seed and it wil
lbe yours.
Six: Add various moga trainers to your arsenal. This will help you get
more bonus attacks by increasing your collection.

are rarities?: In Monster Galaxy, there are 4 rarities. These types of

Whistles
are one of the best tool that you can have in Monster Galaxy. Whistles
are Gaia’s version of bringing “social” into Moga. You could harvest
Whistles once per day in your home base, and you could harvest whistles
in your friends home base given that they water the tree once per day.
Whistles
grant you the ability of “Bonus” Attack in game. The bonus attack will
call out one of your neighbor’s Moga into battle to deal additional
damage.
The greatest part is that it does NOT consume an additional
turn. You should definitely stock up on those whistles regularly so

Points: Health points can be a huge issue when it comes to leveling up.
If you consistently run out of health before you run out of attack
points. You may need to switch to a different map with Moga that is
weak against yours, or downgrade a level. Your goal is to minimize the
use of Blue Coffee or napping.
Efficient Killing: Check my enemy
Moga appearance list for the different encounters. I have included the
amount of EXP gain for each encounter. You could do a simple
calculation on how many attack points you spend before killing the
enemy Moga to get those experience points. Rule of thumb for efficient
killing is that your Zodiac attacks should finish enemies with one
shot. Two shot is ok but not really acceptable. For the regular
attacks, you should finish off the enemy Mogas with 1~3 shots. If you
overkill the enemy by a lot of additional damage, try to up the stake
by fighting higher level enemies. If by fighting higher level enemies
you either find you out of health points fast or use more attack points
than my recommendation. Just drop down one notch to level up before you
proceed again.
Actual testing: If you are too lazy to think or test
whether or not your levels are good: below is a generic list of
efficient leveling. The actual efficiency may differ depending on the
attack skills that your Moga has. More listing will be added as I go

Galaxy: The Basics: Beginners Fighting Guide
If you're new to this game then this may help.
Below are some of the basics of the fighting system in game.
One:
Turn Based: Monster Galaxy’s fighting system is turn based. Your Moga
attack one turn, and your enemy Moga attacks you one turn.
Two:
Actions that Take one Turn: Most of the actions that you take during
battle takes one turn. These include the usage of items, starseed, and
blue coffee. Note: Switching Moga in the middle of the fight also takes
one turn. Meaning that your switched Moga will be attacked as soon as
it is up.
Three: You May Not be the First to Attack: Be careful when
you are battling in a higher level area. The enemy Mogas may attack you
and kill you right away.
Four: Winning Loot Drops: When you win in battles, you have a
percentage chance of receiving loot drops as well as EXP.
Five:
EXP Calculation: The EXP that your Moga receives is divided by how many
Moga were on the battlefield. The EXP is divided amongst your members
if multiple Mogas were fighting.
Six: Zodiac Weakness and Strengths:
Each Moga has a corresponding Zodiac sign. Moga has one attack that is
specifically designated as the “Zodiac” attack. By grouping the Moga
against the ones that they are strongest against is a sure fire way of
winning battle. However, you only have 5 attack points in zodiac before
you need to rest your pet or refill your pet via blue coffee or
leveling up.
Seven: Critical Attack: Occasionally the Mogas can
inflict critical attacks that can either kill you or kill your opponent
quite fast. Watch out ehen this happens because they may completely
break your team.

The
way that Monster Galaxy assigns which moga attacks first is pretty
straight forward in the current version. If your Moga is a higher level
than your enemy Moga, you will be able to attack first.
The opposite
is also true... If your Moga is lower than the enemy encounter. You'll
always get attacked first in Monster Galaxy. Therefore, you should
always level up your Moga to be a little higher than your next area.
Getting that first attack is important to decrease the amount of damage
that you take over many battles.
Level up and grind for the levels is the key to mastering this game.

Galaxy: Catching Lainedeer Hints and Playing Tips
Lainedeer
is an epic Moga and is currently available for players to catch during
the holiday seasons. It is an epic tiered Moga with only roughly 9%
chance of success rate for you to catch.
Tip One: Keep Yourself Low
Level: The Lainedeer level when you meet it will be based on either
your overall Moga level or your Moga teams level. It is believed that
the Lainedeer level will be roughly 1-2 levels above you. So in terms
of difficulty, Lainedeer will be relatively easier to catch when you
are low level. Note: Lainedeer’s level may also be based on the field
maps level. If that is the case, you could do Lainedeer hunting in the
low level maps such as Summerfield.
Tip Two: Have Additional
Starseeds Handy: Lainedeer is an epic Moga with low chance of catching.
On average you will spend 11 Starseeds to catch it, sometimes you may
catch it faster and sometimes you may never catch it. Always have a
handful of Starseeds ready.
Tip Three: Heading Into Battle With Full
HP: You want to head into fight with the Lainedeer with your best team
with full HP and Zodiac attacks. Lainedeer is strong with powerful
Mistle Toe attack that can take out your Moga with one single critical
attack. Make sure that you are fully healed when you face him.
Tip
Four: Search of Lainedeer with good Zodiac Moga team: Lainedeer has a
Zodiac sign of Capricorn. Try to put a team together that is strong
against Capricorn when you go Lainedeer hunting.
Tip Five: Don't
Give Up: The task of catching Epic Moga is not easy. Don't give up if
you do not succeed at first, you may even consider paying some real
money to get the Starseeds. The bottomline is never give up and you may
catch it eventually.
Tip Six: A note on Lainedeer Location:
Lainedeer appear randomly on maps everywhere. However, most people have
reported encountering it in Dark Woods. Personally. I met it in
Summerfield which is one of the first 4 maps. If you are doing
Lainedeer hunting, just keep on going to the same map and you may
eventually see it.

This part of the game is pretty simple.
Simply go through the different locations and beat up the enemy Mogas.
Complete the quests as they come along.
Remember to go to home base to harvest and collect all the whistles
from your friends.
This should become your daily task for the days which you play Monster
Galaxy.
Save your Starseeds and do not use them on level 1 or beginner Mogas.
It may be tempting to use them, but save them for later levels.
Notable Mogas: Coldbear and Lainedeer.
Because
of the special limited holiday event, you have a chance of meeting on
them on the battle field. Catch them if you can. It may be hard to
catch Lainedeer given the limited numbers of Starseed that you have.
however, it is possibe to catch it with just one Starseed thrown.

Things get a bit trickier at this stage.
If you want to advance from this stage, your Moga may take damage 2 to
3 turns before you can take them out.
Consider
bringing up the average levels of your team so that you can continue
fighting while your strongest team is taking a nap.
Play on and off during the day and simply put your team to nap while
waiting for them to be available again.
Be careful when you proceed in the world map because you may encounter
some stronger Mogas than your team.
When you are in tight situation, do not be afraid to use whistles to
kill off the enemy Moga.

OK, the game gets a little serious now.
You should now level up the average levels of your team while getting a
good mix of Mogas with strong Zodiac attacks.
The enemy mogas now have the same, if not more HP than yours.
Use the correct Zodiac weakness against your enemy Mogas in order to
win smoothly.
Consider grinding some levels of your Moga so you could face the enemy
easier by battling Mogas of lower level.

Galaxy: Beginner Hints, Tricks and Playing Tips
These tips are for when you first start playing Monster Galaxy.
Please Note: The tips are based on the update as of 20th December 2010.
So, the tips may not apply when the game gets updated.
Save
Your Starseeds: Starseeds are hard to come by in Monster Galaxy without
spending real cash. You will get the majority of your Starseeds through
quests and maybe a handful as winning loot drops. Save your starseeds
for the stronger Mogas so that you do not have a team of weaklings.
Do
Not Level Up Too Fast: Do go leveling crazy with your strongest Moga
and having to wait insane numbers of hours for its health and attack
points to recover. This tip goes in hand with my 6th. Slow down a
little bit and level up the rest of the team so you can play
continuously without interruption.
Zodiac Matters (or Not): Zodiac
attacks may be important in game but not really so as currently
designed. You only have 5 zodiac attack points in game so the numbers
are really relatively limited. You just have to note not to use Zodiac
attacks for Mogas that you are weak against.
Grinding for Starseeds
and Other Goodies: Once your Moga reach high enough level that it can
kill low level Moga with one hit of its normal attack (the 15 attack
points one). Consider migrating down and grind some battles to get
additional starseeds. You can end the fights fast while gaining
valuable starseeds for later Moga catching.
Always Complete Quests:
Quests are very important in Monster Galaxy such that you get the
majority of your Starseeds through quests. Always complete quests
whenever you reach a new area so that you can continue with the rest of
the quest tree. Do not let any quests go uncompleted.
Use High Level
Moga to Babysit Low Level: Because high level Mogas have a really high
nap time, it is essential for you to have a functional team while your
high levels are napping. So spend some time to level your low level
Moga. Do not start them from the beginning, use the high level Mogas to
level up the low level ones fast and easy.

Galaxy: Starting out: Tips and Tricks
When you begin your journey, it is tempting to catch as many mogas as
possible in order to build your team quickly.
Although
it may seem effective, there are many consequences when using this kind
of strategy such as managing difficulty, unbalanced mogas, and many
more.
In order to be a more efficient player, you need to keep using your
main moga up until you get into more difficult levels.
You
just catch mogas when you are already facing level 3-6 mogas – it is
more recommended because they are already of high level.
Tip One:
Catch a high number of moga! Don’t refrain from catching mogas of the
same zodiac because it would result in an easier time battling.
Tip
Two: Do not spend your star seeds right away. First, you have to weaken
your target before throwing your star seed because the weaker they are,
the easier it is to capture them.
Tip Three: Catch mogas of various
zodiacs. Each zodiac has an affinity to certain zodiac and vise versa.
So it is a good idea to have at least 3 types of zodiacs at your
disposal.
Tip Four: Always be sure to harvest your whistle tree on time. Failing
to do so will result in the withering of your tree.
Tip
Five: Fight higher leveled mogas when your zodiac is on “3x Super”
effective. What this means is that your zodiac attack will be very
powerful against a certain type of moga.
