LEVEL STRATEGIES - HELP, HINTS AND PLAYING TIPS
First Level Strategy: You need to be aware what the last hold-out territories are doing. If you tap on a nation and tap on its name, which is at the bottom of the screen, you get a detailed look into that country's population (how ill they are), and what kind of countermeasures they are taking. Also, if you tap on the "i" icon on the upper left while you're in this screen, you can see how that nation gets classified in this game (rural/urban, hot/humid/dry/cold, rich/poor, etc). That helps you be more specific when you're targeting a country. Anyway, when I finally killed the world with bacteria (took me many tries too), the last hold-out country was New Zealand. I had the country infected, but the number of infected wasn't rising fast enough, and I knew if I made the bacteria more lethal, the disease would simply die out, and the world would win. Then while checking New Zealand's info screen, I realized NZ had not exterminated rats yet. So I upped rodent transmission vector (had to devolve other vectors like birds and water to have enough points), and NZ infection increased beautifully, and I won the game.

Virus Level Strategy: The Virus level was fun, though I got lucky. The challenge in the virus level is to keep it from mutating into something too lethal too early. You actually have to spend points to DEVOLVE the virus. But I got lucky, and the virus mutated into something with higher infection rate but not the mortality rate, so I infected the world fairly easily and won the game.

Fungus Level Strategy:  Basically the whole trick is to NOT spend any points in symptoms, and if you get a free symptom through mutation, DEVOLVE it immediately. That way, the people will no idea that a disease is spreading, so no research will be done at all. Be very patient (definitely get the timer to move double-speed, because this is going to take a while), and let the disease spread out on its own. Spend points only on transmission vectors and abilities. Do not bother with research-slowing abilities (like Genetic Hardening and Genetic ReShuffle) or Spore Burst abilities. Well, I did use Spore Burst at the very beginning, when it cost only 1 point. But after that, it's not worth the cost. Once again, be very patient. You want to wait until there are no healthy people in the world. This means waiting until every single country in the world is infected, and this will take a while. Again, don't bother with Spore Burst ability because I think it simply picks a random country regardless of whether the country's already infected or not -- meaning you're likely to waste points if you use that ability in late game. You want to have about 60-70 DNA points by the time everybody in the world is infected. Now go and get symptoms that gives you rapid death. I went with Coughing, Pneumonia, Pulmonary Fibrosis, and Total Organ Failure. I would have gone with Coma too, but I was short on points, so I went with Immune Suppression. (In hindsight, I could have devolved a few transmission vectors to have enough points for Coma) I'm sure there are better symptom combinations for this purpose. Once the symptoms start, people will start dropping like flies, and the research will begin at a crazy pace. As people die, you'll have DNA points pouring in, so spend those points on research-slowing abilities. Soon, the manic research pace will slow down as too many people die for research to continue. And the world will end. Victory. Personally, this felt like cheating to me. Well, maybe not cheating but more like exploiting the system. I mean, it's a rather "lazy" strategy, and it seems to me that this could work with just about all pathogen types. Kinda kills the fun of having different pathogen types, you know? But then again, because this method takes so many game-years, you're never gonna get a very high score with it, so maybe it's all fair.  Hope this helps.

Fungus and Parasite Level Strategies: Not only did this strategy work with the Fungus level but it also worked with the Parasite as well. Note: This method will NOT get you a very high score due to the lengthy nature of the infection process, but it will get you a win if you play your cards right... Read on... I started in a cold climate area because often I found that when I start in a hot zone, even though the disease spreads quicker - it often has a hard time taking hold in places like Iceland, Greenland, Canada or Russia. Follow these steps: 1. Begin in Iceland (given that it has an airport and also a harbor for ease of transmission). 2. I first started with focusing my energy on upgrading the airborne and water transmission stats to the max as soon as I could. 3. I followed by upping my drug resistance by one notch 4. I also followed by upping my disease's heat resistance by 2 notches, and my cold resistance by 1 notch. (note you can do the above steps in any particular order - the key being point 5) 5. ...which is - do NOT let your fungus evolve until every single person in the world is affected by the disease. This could take a long time (10 to 15 min?). If you want to get things moving a bit by unleashing a spore here or there, that's fine (just don't overdo it at the beginning). 6. Whatever you do, make sure the world does NOT notice the disease up to the point when everyone is infected (but not dying yet). All the while, keep saving enough points so you can eventually upgrade the symptoms to the worst possible situation immediately (organ failure is the best IMO). Also you should devolve your fungus accordingly to keep it as low profile as possible before everyone is infected. 7. Once everyone is infected and the disease is still unknown, unleash the disease. Quickly upgrade your disease symptoms to something incredibly lethal (again, my suggestion is organ failure). Immediately you'll see people dying in droves. At the same time, the cure might move quickly, but as you accumulate points through people dying, you can start using points to counteract the cure by upgrading drug resistance, etc. 8. Soon enough, you will see that the body count will pile up asap. More than likely the country that is spearheading the cure will lose its population so fast that the speed of the cure will greatly diminish and eventually you will win the game. Note: I did not use anything close to all the spores available. The strategy above, while tedious, did allow me to infect so many people that once the fungus got lethal in a hurry, there was no way for the cure to catch up with the sky high death rate.

Try this Strategy to beat The Bacteria Level: Start in Saudi Arabia. Don't upgrade symptoms until it gives you the "Everyone is infected" message. Upgrade transmission! Upgrading water/air so you can get Extreme Bioaerosol is good. Blood transmission when it gets to Africa also works. They won't cure it (because of no symptoms). Whenever it mutates, devolve it IMMEDIATELY! When the world is 100% infected: Go to the world menu and make sure there are no healthy people. Devolve everything! To win you need to evolve Anaemia. Then get Haemophilia, Internal Haemorrhaging and Hemorrhagic Shock. If they start a cure: Evolve Insomnia. Move towards getting Coma. Get Drug Resistance, Genetic Hardening, and Genetic ReShuffle. If you have points, you can get Insanity and Dysentry. And that should win you the level.

Another Bacteria Level Strategy: Start Greenland. No other way to reliable get DNA fast enough to spread fast late game. Remember to devolve all symptoms. Get Water 1/2. Get Air 1/2. Get Blood 1. Get Drug 1/2. Get Water+Air 3. Get Blood 2. Get Genetic Hardening 1/2. Pool DNA to 80. Wait for 100% Infection. Get Rash. Get Sweating. Get Skin Lesions. Get Anaemia. Get Heamorhaging. Get Internal Heamo. Get Heamo Shock. Use rest of points for Genetic Reshuffle. Should end with around 80% Cure.

Virus Level Strategy: I have it so down pat that I normally am seconds ahead of the AI. Play at normal speed once you have a stable strategy then you can fine tune it. It also helps with those times where at 2x Speed you infect 6+ countries at one time. Speed up once you've infected all countires. Sometimes you need to "pool" DNA. If you're not familiar with the term it means store some to respond to AI immediatly. Anyways just broke 52000 on Virus Brutal so here is the changes. Start in Saudi Arabia. Get Air 1/2. Get Water 1/2. Pay close attention to your country spreads as you will have 1 of 2 things happen. If you get 1 follow with 2 if you get 2 follow with 1. 1. You infect a ton of rich countries. 2. You infect lots of poor/humid countries and Austrailia. If 1 Get Drug Resistance 1. If 2 Get Blood 1. At this point your DNA slows a bit continue to watch infected countries. Get Blood 2. Pay close attention this is around where you get discovered but it's fine. You normally have about 30 seconds until Saudi starts researching. You should have the DNA for it. Get Genetic Hardening 1. Get Livestock 1. Start "pooling" DNA. Get Drug Resistance 2. Get Genetic Hardening 2. Get Livestock 2. At this point a few countries have started research and you should just now be getting noticed globally. Get Cold 1/2. Get Rash. Get Sweating. Get Skin Lesions. Now Sit,wait and hope for Greenland to get infected. Get Necrosis as Greenlands infected. Get Insomnia. Get Anaemia. Get Paranoia. Get Seizures. Get Inflamation. Now you know most if the symptoms I'm telling you are all situational cause you can mutate some of them. Basically you want to gain access to Insanity. Paralysis/Coma. Paralysis reduces cure by 1 Coma by 3-4 above 30% Insanity by 2-3 above 30% Genetic Reshuffle is 2 below 30% and 4 above 30%. For a good score above 30,000 keep cure below 40% for above 45,000 keep cure below 30%. Hope this helps people for increasing scores.

Nano Virus Strategy: I started in Japan created a challenge for me and was fun. Since they are already developing a cure for you you have to be fast and constant with transmitting. Start by infexting your first victim then grabbing the 1DNA go into your disease menu and grab Insomnia and Paranoia you'll gain 2 more DNA so grab Code Fragment 1. Here is where it get s tricky. The cure continues to generate at a very intense pace. So unlike most scenario's you want your virus to evolve so while it evolves you should be focus on building up genetic hardening as well. The good thing is you have cheaper genetic reshuffling. You also have Radical Elements which reduces the cure greatly. At the same time you should slow work towards spreading everywhere. I wish I could post the screencaps of how my disease looked at the end. Once you've infected all countries expand towards necrosis. You'll need the dead bodies to help continue spreading in places like Greenland. There's a bit of trial and error with the strat as situations like Global Awarness day can speed up the cure faster than managable.

GENERAL HINTS AND PLAYING TIPS
How to start: A getting started strategy: Start around the Ukraine or in Central Europe. Try and focus on getting its infectivity up but at the same time try and stop it being lethal. Any mutations it does that say it can be lethal, so you should get rid of until it has spread to most countries. Once there is at least like 80 percent of the popultion infected. Now save up to make it lethal and kill them all. Hope this helps and good luck!

How do I complete a level successfully?: The concept of the game is to develop your plague to the point where it wipes out the world. You do this by using DNA points and add traits to the plague and make sure that a cure isn't developed. There are different types of diseases. Each is different. Hope this helps and good luck!
